I'm planning a trip to LA for May and would like to drive down to San Diego for 2 days/1 night.
I would like to do SeaWorld, SD Zoo and maybe the Seal Tours. Do I need more time for Sea World or the Zoo?

I've done both in 1 day. Depends on how many shows you'll want to see.

Any suggestions for cheap car rental if I plan on renting a car in san diego, but want to return in LA?

did you search Kayak? they have Fox car rentals as a participant and Fox is usually cheaper than the rest for one way rentals.  Also Alamo seems to have cheaper one way  fares

I would have been extremely bored spending all day in both. I guess it depends how efficient you are and how much you want to read. IMO Sea World is only worth it for the shows. It's not an aquarium. So you just need to schedule your day according to their schedule.

I want to see some of San Diego also, so I want to do the seal tours and the last departure is at 3:15, I think. So my questions was of the two (sea world and zoo) which should I cut short to go on the seal tour?

I was actually leaning towards the zoo since it opens an hour earlier and can do it at my own pace and go a little faster, but open to suggestions

I found Seaworld to be nothing special (was better as a kid). Maybe stop off at Disneyland on the way down to SD?

Maybe take the earliest seal tour and then stay at the zoo/sea world till closing time.

Earliest tour is 10:30 and lasts 90 minutes so wouldn't be done by 12 if its on time.

If I have one already booked for these dates, do you think they will credit me the extra miles?
I assume no....
