It's been mentioned but hasn't been given extensive DDF treatment.

I, like many, am skeptical that anything will be accomplished, but I think the cause is good and I'm willing to listen. I liked Teitelbaum's piece. Respectful of the idea but critical/skeptical of the outcome. Some cross the line with total disregard for our leaders, like this mechutzif.

Your thoughts?

from what i understand there are three purposes of the asifa -
1. to promote awareness of the problem (this is the the smallest purpose, as the organizers know that most people are well aware of the issues)

2. to daven together, that we be successful in overcoming the nisyonos involved in using the internet. (everyone agrees that there are nisyonos involved) and to be machzek one another by doing this in a large group setting.

3. to inform people of the various tools that are out there to help them use the internet responsibly.

anyone going with the purpose of using the asifa to help them maintain and grow in their yiddishkeit should come away with chizuk from this asifa.

(anyone that does not respect the rabbonim involved will probably come out with more criticism/skepticsm and should probably not attend)

Another problem we have in our dor, is anytime one doesnt think the same as another, or disagree with others opinions, instead of just skipping to the next article, they think they must rename that write, mechutzif, mamzer etc. Dont like it, veiter gegangen!

looks like they r not doing too well
Well known yeshive in BP sent home a letter from yeshiva to send back $10 for ticket
forcing parents to participate
Also mandatory to attend if not kid gets kicked out of yeshive

You cant use the same method of speech for both men and women. Its a Rashi in Parshas Yisro.
