Reading alot of the app-o-rama proposals can be really challenging. This seems to be a good concise method. Just copy and paste:

For Chase
Depending on what your credit history is like....

I'd go for Chase Sapphire Preffered
Hyatt
a new United? (close down the old one first, I wouldn't do this if those 2 were your first Chase cards)

My first two Chase cards are UA and SP. I'm planning to downgrade the SP to a Freedom.
What is the issue to close the UA to churn it? Credit history with Chase?
If so, if I transfer the line to approve another card, would it be better?

TIA

Anyone have input on B of A- Thinking about 3bm  - Virgin Atlantic 65k, BOA Hawaiian 35k and BOH hawaiian 35k. Also getting some cards with Amex- Getting SPG biz, Gold PRG, and probably a hilton one.
Anyone know how many pulls BOA will be?

Citi saying you can only do one application per day. If I want to apply for a second AA card, I would have to wait until I received the first one and activated it, and then I could apply for the Amex. If I wanted another, non-AA Citi card I can do so today, but a maximum of one per day. The application can't be reconsidered it just gets discarded and I have to submit again.

So - I called Citi again and schmoozed it up. Great customer, banking customer for years, etc. For a while they held the party line that they can't do 2 AA cards. I persisted. There must be something you can do, I'm with you for so long, etc. Hold on, let me check something... She came back and said she was able to "restart" the application for me. They approved me for it, without splitting the credit line.

A-O-R now at 6/6!
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

When she restarted the application did she do another pull?

BOA is one pull (YMMV)

BOH is another pull.

I wouldn't waste a pull on BOA, as there is nothing to do with HA miles.

Also, try to find a different card than Hilton.

ETA: Saw your post in the other thread, I guess you're going for AXON award. ;)

Exactly- which is why I'm in such a dilemma. Maybe I'll just do one virgin atlantic and one boa hawaiian which will be 170k Hilton.

You can do 2 BOA, just don't let them pull a switch n' bait.

When she restarted the application did she do another pull?

I didn't check yet. I did mention to her that the reason I needed to apply for two on the same day was to avoid an extra pull. Probably wrong thread, but what is the best link to check that?

Was that a very dumb, MMS kind of thing to do? I should rephrase that. She mentioned that I could always apply again in the next couple of months, and I said I don't want to have to do another credit check.

That's not as bad.
