Can't agree more with these comments:
"This Airline could use a little Gordon Bethune! You would see a BIG turnaround under his command. He earned our respect and admiration and we will forever remember our glory days under his command. The employees of legacy Continental miss being an Airline that the public looked up to."
"We need to remember the CO that merged with UA under Smisek and his team was not the CO that had earned respect in the industry. Several decisions coming out of HOU prior to the merger downgraded the inflight product, service on the ground and marketing campaigns that were amateurish at best. His team moved into CHI with little regard for existing management and clearly were more concerned with control than selecting the best and most experienced team. We're seeing the result. The board, still pretty much in control of UA should move quickly before more damage is done."
