What's your strategy, are you going to hold until it's back at $18? :P

undecided. How bad do you feel the end of the lockout period will impact the stock?

Hoping the general market sees the stock as undervalued (which i believe)

I don'tsee how the end of the lockup can do anything but drive prices down

It doesn't always work that way. A few weeks ago, the opposite happened with Yelp. Too many shorts led to a "short squeeze," with investors rushing to buy up shares to cover their shorts. Was up 23%.

But usually, a stock drops at the end of the lock-up period.

There'll be a lot of shorts in this one, but not that many, I don't think.

Meh, even at $12 I'm staying far away :)

Wish I'd put my money where my mouth is and Shorted GRPN @ $12, it's at $2.69 now, I'd have made a killing. They should've accepted Google's bid, darned fools.

I notice these kinds of things more all the time, and I'm right more often than not, but I wouldn't sleep at night with real money on the market (not that I sleep at night as it is...)

Great call. Can you explain the logic of whats currently happening with FB. I understand the concept of a short squeeze, but this jump seems beyond logic.....

1. It's righting itself, after shedding $$.
2. The markets are crazy, in the past three months AAPL (which is overpriced/overhyped IMHO) lost 25% (!!!) and gained nearly half of it back...

Is this a prediction?  :)

Whats your opinion of the "right" value. The original expected IPO value was around $32. Thats another 25% jump off the current price..

I think $32 is way too overpriced, I wasn't surprised when it fell to $20, though I was taken aback a bit when it continued to fall to $16. I don't think it'll last at $26 and if I was to rate this stock I'd rate it a sell @ $26.

If you have time to wait, Facebook is a good investment , IMO. The stock is down due to going public too soon and overall fatigue with internet stock. However, the largest social network in the world is too big of a money maker to fail. This is a stock that will climb.

-1, that is the problem-they are not a money maker. Based on any valuation of future growth it's overpriced

Why are they not a money maker? They are making money as we speak and they haven't yet figured out how to put ads on mobile platforms, and how to make their website ads more noticeable. Once they get this rolling, with the amount of information about you they have and the amount of users, they are sitting on a cash cow.

You can sit on a cash cow all you want. Until you prove you can figure out how to milk it, you can't sell it

he said it has potential, meaning they will figure out how to milk it. Via mobile ads ect.
