How does anyone plan on getting in on the shares? You need to be invited to buy, and the stock is pretty limited for the IPO, which means if you can get in on the IPO you would probably make at least a few bucks off all the losers who run to buy after all the big players took their share.

If you open an eTrade account, you supposedly can take part in the IPO.

Interesting article about advertising on facebook.  Losing the GM account of 10 M isnt a big deal but it sure isnt a good sign.

If you have a fidelity account you will be able to buy shartes tommorow. They are taking orders as early as 7AM, but trading doesent start until 11AM, so unless you wait till 11 for a market order, you might not get your shares.

I am counting on/hoping it opens higher and keeps going up. At some point I will then jump in and short it.

Not a great start, rallied a bit to get to around 40 now but it was hovering at 38 for 10 minutes.  It never did drop below the ipo.

Bad press??? most where and are shocked at there current price
But take a look at there PE and it's easy to see why they are not breaking higher yet

I'm not surprised it didn't rally, someone asked me yesterday about an option they had on shares, I was skeptical enough to discourage them.

Yup, and I don't think I was wrong. I told them they won't lose, but it's also not going to be a windfall.

...but they could have sold at the open for a nice profit. I don't think anyone thought it would open lower.

I didn't tell them not to, I told them it's nothing to be crazy excited about (they had an option on 3k shares, so at most they'd make $9k), and if they buy, they should sell asap.

...selling at the open would be more like a 12k profit but I understand your point.
