Hi all,

I currently have a CC from my bank with a 1% cash-back. I would like to open one card where I get more benefit. However I am not looking to churn or anything like that. Just so I shouldn't be "wasting" better rewards that I could be getting from a different card.

Which one card is best as an all purpose card?

what will you be using your accrued miles for? will you be selling them? using them? or is cash back your thing?

Most likely using them if it's usable for flights, but I don't really care. If selling makes more sense I'll do that. I don't want to be too busy with it. Just don't want to be "throwing away" good rewards. Cash back is great too. doesn't make much of a difference.

if you dont want to hock around with signup bonuses and the like and simply want to do all spending on one card to sell the miles then get the amex starwood

I guess the downside of that card would be the annual fee, correct? Going on the assumption that the rewards accumulated are worth more than 65$ a year ( I hope so anyway)?

free for first year, (and maybe free the next years with a call to them).
the current signup bonus is worth over $500 on its own

Looking at your credit reports can help, but ultimately the decision come to the banks and they either say YES or NO. So it could be 99% yes, but in the end, they have the last say.

Just realized I left out an important detail to my original question. I am in Israel and will likely be there the next few years. Is the starwood still the best card, or perhaps one without foreign exchange fees and more travel benefits...?

If you are only getting it for the signup bonus and can do the spending in US dollars then its good. If you want one for everyday spending a good card to use here is the Chase Sapphire. at least IMO

I'm a AU on millageplusexplorer for a year & I tried getting Transunion & experiam credit report on Annualcreditreport.com and they both didnt work does that mean i have no credit? Could calling the CC help get my credit?

the fact that you have a cc for a year is proof that you have credit, its just that you have to make sure that all the info is entered right.. at annualcreditreport

where did i see 5% cash back on a cc for dining every Friday? I've seen it many times on the dd site but now i can't remember what card. i thought it was the Chase Freedom but there is no info on the site. any help?
