Topic Wiki

This is the thread where you can ask any random question you have. Feel free to ask even the most basic questions that you otherwise might be embarrassed to ask. This is the thread for beginners, so veterans here will treat you nicely. Ask a beginner's Q in some other threads and no guarantee of that same treatment. ;)
People here want to help, so just have some patience, follow the tips below and hopefully someone will help you when they have a chance.

If you looking for a particular thread you once saw and can't find it, this is not the place to ask. Check out Help Me Find It and ask there.

How to ask a question in this thread:
Click the blue reply button at the top or bottom of the page, type your question, and click post!

Some helpful tips for eliciting answers from other members:
- Keep your question short and precise. No one wants to read a megillah.
- The more questions you ask in one post, the less likely any will be answered. People are willing to answer a question or two, but if you ask all the questions that apply to your particular issue, you're expecting to be spoonfed. Members don't like holding out the spoon, so ask accordingly.

Set your card CA limit to 0.
Is that a legit thing or just a suggestion? I call up regular reps?

legit.  If your CA is set to 0, then any time you try to get a CA, it won't let.

Any info about the Citi AA executive? If I change the Ca limit to 0, will I still be able to buy Amex GC?

You could just refresh the page every 30 seconds. Not such a big deal...

Seriously?

He asked for notifications.  That would mean that he doesn't have to sit on ddf the whole day -  he would just get an email when a new topic is started.

Yes there is. If you go into any of the 6 main board (General Discussion, Up in the Air, etc.) go to the bottom of the page and click "Notify". That will email you every time someone starts a new thread in that specific board. Do it for all 6 boards and you'll get an email every time a new thread is started in any board.

Where can I find larger than $200 GC to buy with Chase CCs? (not the Freedom though)
Only office supply stores for the 5x points?

What is normal delivery time to receive Staples online GC?

pharmacies.  supermarket.  many sell the variable $50 - 500 type of visa for cc.  Don't try to buy more than 2 at a time, they get antsy and may refuse you.

Thanks for answering.  I want to get 5x points.  Other than Staples, is there any other 5x location?  Office Depot will not accept CC to pay for GC.

Don't believe you can do MR to MR. Would have to be to a FFN account.

Will I be able to use my personal sapphire preferred to transfer my ink cash points to airline miles? My Ink Cash is for a real business, not sole proprietorship. I'm not sure about this b/c the ink would be in the business name. TIA
