Some helpful tips for eliciting answers from other members:
- Keep your question short and precise. No one wants to read a megillah.
- The more questions you ask in one post, the less likely any will be answered. People are willing to answer a question or two, but if you ask all the questions that apply to your particular issue, you're expecting to be spoonfed. Members don't like holding out the spoon, so ask accordingly.

Couldnt find the thread I had in mind where something similar was discussed once. If I get into TLV 2:55 pm on Friday when shabbes starts right around 6:30 PM (April 3rd). Enough time to get to Jtown? I think so but wouldn't mind input.

I guess Ill book using Austrian for Pesach with 1 stop (dreading that with 2 kids but much cheaper then any non stop flights) and try out the new "Smart Upgrade" Austrian offers.

Did just find a direct Delta flight but that gets in 1 hour before Shabbes.. Arghh.. That will prob not work..  :(

Hi
I have $4000 (between 3 cc's) of spending that I need to do in order to get bonuses.
I don't live in the US and am here for a week.
I can't do Target RedCard bc am in NY where it's not sold.
Also don't have enough time here to wait for a bb card to be delivered.
Ideas of what to do?

You should be able to buy a Serve card in CVS. Then you'd just have to find walmarts that work.

1) Find friends that have large purchases or expenses that they'll let you swipe, and collect the money from them (immediately).
2) Buy GCs and leave the Walmart trips for others in your extended family to take care of after you leave.
3) Make family AUs and work on getting a RedCard.  THEN leave them to do the spending for you.
4) Combinations of 1 -3.

Really dont like that idea. Never have. I guess the collecting immediately would work but there are just too many bad and worse stories on that end.

Just call the airline!  Or even customs in YYZ .   You heard that you'll have the job of collecting your baggage.  'Really? I can't just have it pass through? I'm just on a connecting flight!'
