Hi guys I'm a newbie here so please bear with me. I'm all confused how things work. Just a quick question. I have a freedom card with about $6000 in debt due to medical bills and I would like to get a card for a balance transfer. What are my options Citi or Discover and will I lose the UR points by making a balance transfer I would have earned if I would make monthly payments?

I would try to go for the Chase Ink, its a 0 APR card for 15 month and u can pay it off, and you should not lose your points

I believe it's only the Ink Cash and 0% APR is for 12 months.

Thank you guys. I know the slate is not available for balance transfers from a chase cc though I have the Ink.

+1. The first time, I tried using thee tabs on the same browser. At the confirmation page, however, all there converted to the same reservation and, of course, I canceled. Then I tired a 3BM and clicked confirm on all of them within a few secs... I got one and the others got error messages. They're just too smart!

Find out if the slate allows balance transfers through a check,if yes just make it out to yourself & pay the freedom.
Why would you lose the UR points as long as the freedom is open?

That's something I'm gonna find out.
Don't know if they'll allow me to pay with their check to their own cc.
Also at what apr a month.

If your allowed to write yourself a check than you can deposit it & they won't know it was for a chase cc. Slate offers 0% apr for the first 15 months.

If i want to try to change my seat at the airport should i still print my boarding pass at home or should i wait until i speak to a person at check in?

I'm a real newbie. Have great credit and would like to apply for a new credit card or 2. Business or Personal. Bottom line which ones right now have the best rewards.

Really depends on what you're looking to do but Amex MR and Chase Ur are the most flexible.

That's a great idea. Should I get the slate or maybe another card with 15 or more months 0% apr on purchases? Which one?

if you are using so much credit on freedom they probably wont give you a big cl if they even approve you. I helped someone with this a few months ago, he was using almost his entire freedom cl but he has a discover with a big enough cl so I put a few k of rc loads onto discover and paid freedom so when the statement closed he had no balance on freedom and discover didnt close yet either then applied for slate and got approved for a small cl then transferred cl from freedom to slate and did balance transfer from discover to slate

I posted a deal on DDF today and got credit for it on dansdeals.com but I dont see my HT count switch to from 1 to 2 please let me know how to get this fixed....
