Some helpful tips for eliciting answers from other members:
- Keep your question short and precise. No one wants to read a megillah.
- The more questions you ask in one post, the less likely any will be answered. People are willing to answer a question or two, but if you ask all the questions that apply to your particular issue, you're expecting to be spoonfed. Members don't like holding out the spoon, so ask accordingly.

If you always leave $1 on balance on all your cards every month anyway, no matter how low your CL's are, there's no need to worry about lower utilization.
Why deal with recon if you can just get an instant approval?

Still a better chance of instant approval with a lower CL than with a higher one. Have you ever tried it?

I get instant approvals most of the time and have decent CL's (25k+) if that means anything.

i have a United Card which I opened last yer with 50k miles. now i have a bill for a 495 annual fee. Is there any way to get out of it? Also, same thing with Marriott card. TIA
