Some helpful tips for eliciting answers from other members:
- Keep your question short and precise. No one wants to read a megillah.
- The more questions you ask in one post, the less likely any will be answered. People are willing to answer a question or two, but if you ask all the questions that apply to your particular issue, you're expecting to be spoonfed. Members don't like holding out the spoon, so ask accordingly.

Unless you already have a bank account with all banks that you're eligible to have accounts with, I would guess that there are definitely banks that will probably never bring you worthwhile value. My advice to you is simply that since no one can put a number on it, MS with a bank account that you don't care to get shutdown by (open a new one if you have to).

Before I realized that it was dangerous, I ms'd with a Wells Fargo checking account and credit card, and got blacklisted by them for life after only a couple of weeks. I'm lucky it was only Wells Fargo. Now for ms I only use random local banks or banks without any compelling credit cards. I would never MS through a Chase or Citi account etc., more than a trivial amount.

Sorry to bring up a discussion from a week and a half ago. I have heard that Chase hated MO's. Are there any reliable sources that other banks care? It seems that my bank likes them, and I'd guess most banks do as there's $ going through system with holds etc.

I doubt any bank likes them. Some tolerate them more than others

Why would you guess that most banks like them, and why does it seem your bank likes them?

United.com not honoring tickets

On United.com I booked tickets JFK-ZRH-TLV with a confirmation number.
A few hours later, I get an email from United.com that they cannot process my tickets.
I called them up and asked them to rebook me on a direct EWR-TLV flight instead (for the same price, of course ???). They refused to allow this unless I pay up the difference.
What are the options available for me?

Was it revenue or award?
Was it ticketed or just confirmation number? Ie, eticket number vs confirmation number.

It was revenue and I only got a conformation number but there was a delay in ticketing

Happened to me before. It's clearly written in the ticket when you book it that it's only a reservation and it won't be booked till the other airlines confirms. It's always important to check partner airlines flights to make sure you got a confirmation number

Life after an Amex FR (due to returned funds with UFB): all accounts reinstated, no change in CL. Would appreciate suggestions in how to proceed with use CCs. Back to regular spend, go slow, etc?

After an online application Capital One told me that I would need to 'verify my information', about a week later they sent me an email saying that my card shipped. What are the odds that they're gonna ask for Proof Of Income after I receive the card?
