Topic Wiki

This is the thread where you can ask any random question you have. Feel free to ask even the most basic questions that you otherwise might be embarrassed to ask. This is the thread for beginners, so veterans here will treat you nicely. Ask a beginner's Q in some other threads and no guarantee of that same treatment. ;)
People here want to help, so just have some patience, follow the tips below and hopefully someone will help you when they have a chance.

If you looking for a particular thread you once saw and can't find it, this is not the place to ask. Check out Help Me Find It and ask there.

How to ask a question in this thread:
Click the blue reply button at the top or bottom of the page, type your question, and click post!

Some helpful tips for eliciting answers from other members:
- Keep your question short and precise. No one wants to read a megillah.
- The more questions you ask in one post, the less likely any will be answered. People are willing to answer a question or two, but if you ask all the questions that apply to your particular issue, you're expecting to be spoonfed. Members don't like holding out the spoon, so ask accordingly.

How does buying a hertz voucher from a ddfer work? And how does it itself work?
Send him money or pay in person and he/she either mails it or you meet in person

SPG at this moment is the only program that has hotels on the beach worth using points for. Do you have a SPG personal & business cards?

The signup bonus will get maybe three nights. Shame it is the only real Miami Beach option.

You can get two nights at the courtyard by Marriott, by signing up for a Marriott card . I stayed there and thought it was decent.

Thanks for all the responses.  I would like to stay near the jewish area. It would just be for two and I would prefer to fly out of Newark.

For flights you should get the British Airways card and/or United card both will get you to your destinations. Cheapest option would be BA.

Why lock the extra miles in that program ?  If he signs up for a card that transfers he has flexibility with the extra miles.

No no no no. I don't know who posted that but it seems to be as widespread a rumor as autism from vaccines.
If you get 3 cards from one back in one day is one pull 6, although chase personal and business cards are storage pulls, even in same day.

You can sign up for biz under your ssn and one under ein, iinm.

Eta, welcome to the boards, and kudos for posting in the right place.

I'm on tapatalk, so perhaps someone on a pooter can link you to some good wikis and threads.

1. It's one pull each per bank/ card issuer.
2. If you don't have credit history you should probably start slow and build up, I think Chase wont even consider giving you credit if you don't have cc history.
That being said, probably start with amex cards.
