Some helpful tips for eliciting answers from other members:
- Keep your question short and precise. No one wants to read a megillah.
- The more questions you ask in one post, the less likely any will be answered. People are willing to answer a question or two, but if you ask all the questions that apply to your particular issue, you're expecting to be spoonfed. Members don't like holding out the spoon, so ask accordingly.

If I purchase an airline ticket with a Sapphire, and then downgrade that card (say, to a Freedom) before I fly, will I still get all the trip protection as I had the card when I booked, or do I forfeit the benefits?

I need to fly my family (2+3+1) TLV- BOS (or any airport in 200 mile radius) for Pesach.  I have an assortment of miles of different currencies. 

Is this type of thing usually a good use of miles, or should I "dispose" of the miles by other means and use the proceeds for paid tickets?

Doesn't look like you would be able to use miles for the flights for everyone. May be better off selling the points and buying a cheap ticket.

Why not with AF? he has amex + TYP + SPG, that could be enough.

When booking a paid RT with a stop, how can I make the stopover a couple of days?  I tried the multi city option but that brings up a different ticket that is double the price.
