Topic Wiki

This is the thread where you can ask any random question you have. Feel free to ask even the most basic questions that you otherwise might be embarrassed to ask. This is the thread for beginners, so veterans here will treat you nicely. Ask a beginner's Q in some other threads and no guarantee of that same treatment. ;)
People here want to help, so just have some patience, follow the tips below and hopefully someone will help you when they have a chance.

If you looking for a particular thread you once saw and can't find it, this is not the place to ask. Check out Help Me Find It and ask there.

How to ask a question in this thread:
Click the blue reply button at the top or bottom of the page, type your question, and click post!

Some helpful tips for eliciting answers from other members:
- Keep your question short and precise. No one wants to read a megillah.
- The more questions you ask in one post, the less likely any will be answered. People are willing to answer a question or two, but if you ask all the questions that apply to your particular issue, you're expecting to be spoonfed. Members don't like holding out the spoon, so ask accordingly.

If I bought something on amazon, does the shipping fees count for spending 60$ to get back 15$?
Whatever the total spend is.

If I book a flight on AA, do I still have 24 hours to cancel or is the 24 hours to cancel just available on Orbitz?

Only on an OTA with a cancellation policy.

However AA has an option by checkout to Hold the reservation for 24 hours without paying.

Being that they allow the Hold option for free, they do not need to offer free cancellations.

I'm not sure where to post this.
My brother sent me money through quickpay last week on Thursday, in the app under quickpay it says by that transaction "accepted" however I don't see it at all in my checking account not even as pending.
Someone else sent me money afterwards and it has completed and is available in my account.
Any thoughts as to why it might be taking so long?

The full account number. There's an option to see account and routing numbers, you have to click on it.

So when I click to show the account number it shows me where I could find it on my checks ::) & also that I could find it on top of the statements with a link to view the statements online.

Right under my account on the home page, there's an option to see account/routing numbers. You clicked on that?

When I click that it opens a new tab which says "For your security. We recommend you close this browser window". (In Spanish as well)

No. It just says "account number" "routing number" & then that message.

That's weird. It opens in a new window for me, but shows the numbers i want.
