Not always. If they ask for it and you don't want to, open a second PayPal account, send money to it, and send the money back to yourself.

I am going to pay cash for an upcoming hotel room.  I have diamond status hilton so expect an upgrade.  Should i reserve the cheapest room and then get the free upgrade when I get there. If the cheapest room only holds 2 people but I need a room that holds three people, which would be the upgraded room, which room should I reserve.

DSU means a suite upgrade. Every hotel has a different suite they give for this, usually the lowest or second to lowest suite. You can call HGP and they will tell you which room it is

would someone help me choose a permanent card for my mother.

 im guessing that my since my mother wouldn't want to patchkeh with always selling points/miles(doesn't plan on using it for flights too much), so cash back card looks good.

of these, which would you guys choose:(avoiding amex cards btw)

1)Barclay arrival(although its not cashback but you cud use points to pay bill which is sort of like cash back)
2)Barclay arrival+
3)citi double cash
4)Barclay cashforward
5) cap1 venture/or quicksilver cash rewards
