True. But he is looking to apply for more cards than one...
I usually just apply for the SP version I don't have (Visa, Mastercard) and close down the other to get it approved. And I usually close down the Uniteds and move over the credit to a different card currently open and then apply.
So shifting credit does not make a difference if done via reconsideration or via reallocation?
You can add a BA
I had one before and I heard they are tough.
Regarding you credit score? No. Its the pull that you get when applying for a card.
Right. But does reallocating still work with chase, like can I just call before I apply to shift some credit from one card to another?
You would call after you apply, not before.
? I believe there is a department you can call too shift credit. ( even before)
Where are you shifting your credit to, and why would that help?
From united cards to sp. Just easier to shift before so when it comes to recon I won't be shifting from a united to a united.
Im not really sure where to post this: so i tried in the Help me search thread, and i figured ill try here, because its a beginner question.when should i pay my cc? Right away? etc.
I pay most of it after it posts and the rest after the statement closes.
How come? Why would you divide it like that? And when does "the statement close"?
Your statement closes...when it closes. Each credit card has a different date.
What i meant was, it closes at the end of a cycle, and then you get your bill etc?Or once you get the bill is it too late?
It closes on a certain date. After that date is when I pay the rest. The bill comes in the actual mail a few days later usually. Either way.
So i should keep on top of it, online, and pay as soon as it closes?
Whatever you leave over to pay after the statement closes can be paid anytime from when it closes until the due date. That makes no difference.
