"The folks over at Tapatalk are actually doing an interesting dual APK offering from one Play Store listing, which will give the older-style Tapatalk 2 app to those on Android 2.3 and earlier (for compatibility reasons), and the Tapatalk 4 app to anyone on ICS and above. If you're a traditionalist and want the classic Tapatalk app, you can download it from its support pages. "

Is there a reason the notification options are all greyed out for me on 4.9.5?

New update on iOS actually looks like it might be better than before. They replaced timeline with "new posts" and some things look cleaner and more organized, I guess time will tell if it actually works any better.

My new problem with the new Android version is that it has its own browser witch all the links open up in.

Wrong thread. This thread's title says it's about Tapa problems only.  :P

Any Tapatalk update will inevitably cause problems

You should be able to switch that in settings.

In settings under advanced options, there should be an option called "app linking" tap on that and you should be able to choose either your browser, in Tapatalk or ask me which gives you both options whenever you tap on a link.

No advance settings as an option.

I click on every option. Nada.

Sorry, I guess the android and iOS apps are different, a quick google search didn't show anything either. There's got to be a way to change it though, maybe email them and ask?

It always had an internal browser. If your phone is rooted though, it is easily solved

I didn't change any settings. All my apps auto update unless there is a change in access.

Dunno what happened.

Maybe its more accessible now. FWIW tapatalk is the only app which I never update, forget about auto-update
