Verizon 2012 Smartphone Lineup (per MotoringCrunch.com)
« on: May 06, 2012, 03:19:02 PM »
3 Upcoming Verizon Phones As Hot As The Samsung Galaxy S3

The Samsung Galaxy S3 was announced only a couple of days ago but since then we've seen its official specs pitted against the best smartphones on the market right now e.g. Samsung Galaxy Note, HTC One X, iPhone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

While the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been made official, there is still no firm release date and it may still be anywhere from a few weeks to months away. And by then, we can expect newer smartphones to be announced and take the spotlight away from the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Verizon Wireless for one has been rumored to be getting some popular new additions to its lineup which will give the Galaxy S3 a run for its money when and if its lands on Big Red. We're talking about the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy Note and Motorola DROID RAZR HD.

Upcoming Verizon phones (rumors): iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy Note, Motorola DROID RAZR HD

Motorola DROID RAZR HD: Rumored to basically be a DROID RAZR MAXX with a larger HD display, ICS keys and 13MP camera, it can certainly give the Samsung Galaxy S3 a run for its money. Speculate release date is sometime this summer.

iPhone 5: The next-generation Apple phone, it is expected to bring a host of upgrades including a larger display (finally), 4G LTE, faster processor, 12-megapixel camera, wireless charging and launch with iOS 6 in tow.

Samsung Galaxy Note: Similar to the current AT&T model but with CDMA and Verizon LTE support, the Samsung Galaxy Note may sound outdated but it still manages to hold its own thanks to being the only smartphone on the market with a screen that massive and S-Pen support. Proving critics wrong since its release by selling over 5 million units in less than 5 months, it is expected to be a major hit on Verizon when it hopefully launches under the name Galaxy Journal.

It wasn't great when it came out. Not bad by any means,  but not great.

I have an iPhone and I like it. It's very simple, but all these new androids coming out is great competition for apple which means better apple phones coming out soon.

You'd have been better off with the Nexus or the S3 IMHO.  Or signing up back when they had the 4GB promo.
But welcome to the dark side.

If you want the pure Android experience then GNex, otherwise S3.
I'd take either over the Maxx.

Forgetting about other differences, I don't like the idea of a phone that I can't swap out batteries, especially for when I travel.

Can you buy it from a 3rd party so you don't have to pay restocking?

Why would you buy direct instead of Amazon (Negative $40 for the GNex, etc) or Costco (90 days returns)?

because i needed something right away and i dont have a costco membership and i need something today so amazon wouldnt do it...and i didnt think i would want to return it...(prob not the smartest thing ive done)

in any case im looking for long battery life and a good phone and this seemed the best for the battery and its seems like a great phone..
im just wondering what other specific things are better on the other 2 phones that one should consider
