It does not have GSM.

I use it for GPS and grooveIP though.

Why would you buy direct instead of Amazon (Negative $40 for the GNex, etc) or Costco (90 days returns)?
idk what ur seeing but i just checked amazon wireless and i see the nexus for .01 !!

so its worth it for me now to pay the restocking fee and getting the nexus for $35.01 - or the maxx i can get for $65 cheaper -  the question is if theyll sell it to me since i already opened the plan and its for new customers or upgrading.

Here's some reading material.
thanx

Additional $40 credit if you signup today on Amazon: http://wireless.amazon.com/f/verizon40?tag=cl03f-20 so negative $40 for GNex.  A spare battery and spare battery charger (so that you never need to plug your phone into anything) is $26.

Cancel your VZW plan and resign on amazon?

ok i made some inquiries and verizon said i can close my line for $35 fee and i can sign with amazon and they can transfer it into my family plan later (since the family has 5 lines already).

i also just did some more research between the maxx and the nexus and it seems that it all boils down to if ur looking for nicer software and a little better resolution or a good phone and a killer battery - besides that they say the maxx should be getting the latest android software soon.

so if im looking for a great phone with a long lasting battery, u still suggest i go for nexus with a spare battery (.01) over the maxx ($99)?

I don't see how the maxx could possibly be worth paying $100 over the GNex.
As I said, for $26 you can get a spare battery and a spare battery charger and you'll never have to plugin your phone to a wall ever.
And you get pure Android goodness.
But hurry up if you want the $40 bonus...

ok u have convinced me once again! :)
i just placed the order and hopefully it all goes thru and itll cost me a total of $49.50 ($35 restocking + $4.50 subway to store + $10 prepaid at&t until phone comes) less $40 for first month ----VS----the $217 (+$4.50 subway) i paid for the maxx today.

seems like an awesome deal ...oh and +26 for the battery / charger

where do i get the accessories for $26?

2 questions
1- I'm seeing both the Samsung nexus 4g and the droid razr 4g for .01 on amazon wireless, but only for a new plan  :( Is there any shtick to get around this- i'd love to save the $120 (anyway as a loyal customer of close to 7 years I feel i should be getting the better deal)
2- also how often are these signup bonuses on amazon?

Sam's Club has the Nexus for under $50. And it comes with a dock.

is there anywhere else recommendable to get it today? or should i just put the line on a palm pixi i have and wait till ? ? ? until iphone 5 is released?

Iphone 4s is cheaper. The iphone 5 should be out in the next couple of weeks if you want to wait.
