I always wondered if gefilte fish and cholent tasted amazing the first time they're eaten by an adult. Can any Baalei teshuvah or gentiles who had a cholent comment on this?

I just asked a 3 balei teshuva and they all said yes. Except one guy still hates gefilte fish.

Regular potato kugel recipe, except put lots of fried onions, and then meat on the bottom of the pan then pour kugel on top. Bake uncovered for 30min then pour 1 cup water on top, seal very well(2 layers of foil) and cook on 200 overnight. basic recipe usually tweak as I go along, depends how its looking!
