Vacation Deal in Summer?

Hi,

I am looking for an inexpensive quiet place, to spend 2 weeks with my family, in the eastern half (as far south as Virginia) of United States or Canada,  (a chalet/bungalow). Any ideas on how to get great deals on a nice place?

does it have to be near jewish commuinties I.e. kosher food shuls mikvah?
