Tried booking a room for 6/25, but the cheapest I found in NYC was $269/night. Is there a promo code I could use for a better rate - $100 range?

Check out the Radisson Newark Carteret, outside of NYC but not too far and rates are under $100 for that night

made reservations for 6/25 for $113 (incl tax), now I have to decide if its worth booking a 2nd room that my wife can check in to and then we each get the 50k.

Its the most lenient program in the world, I don't think they ever expire and even if they do you can easily have activity by transferring points from one account to another.

My points posted from the stay on Monday. 59,480 points, seems like a pretty good deal.

Enjoyed the radisson newark-carteret. Very nice staff, rooms were average but clean. They offer a great complimentary breakfast (at least it looks great with bagels, donuts, cereals, eggs, potatoes, make your own pancakes...) but not kosher so couldn't partake. I suggested that they offer some kind of kosher breakfast as they did have quite a few jewish ppl staying there and it is in NJ but I doubt they will do that. Might stay again before the deal is up on my wifes account to double up on the points

How does checking in for someone else work? I am staying with a friend, and would like to book the second room on my spouse's club carlson number, he will not be present. Just joined CC, never stayed and was status matched to SPG.

I work in Carteret right near the Radisson so I can check in for you if you need me to. The rates for next week are $89 plus tax.
