Long tern rental/ insunrance
« on: May 08, 2012, 02:25:59 AM »
Hi!

I need a car for 2 month during the summer, and I am trying to figure out what my options are, is leasing an option for 2 month, around how much woukd it be. Or would renting be better?

Regarding insurance:
I need liabilty coverage for this 2 month rental and I am not sure where to start.
My parents don't have a car so I am not under any insunrance, and paying $13 dollars a day for insunrace from the rental company, sounds like allot, would it make sents for me to make regular car insurance, would it come out cheaper, is is possible?

Any other sugeattions?

Thanks in advanced!

forsure rent, search around you area which location would be cheapest even if it means to drive out of you way for a hour its worth it to save a few $100...
you would prob. Wanto make it into 2 one month rentals so that your CC should cover CDW, you will have to go back to that location to close and reopen the contract.

Amex regular car rental insurance insures up to 30 days at a time, so maybe make two 30 day rentals.

Most CC insurance term that are limited to 31 days will not help to go back to same location and rent again after 30 days as there is a condition of no more then 45 days at a 90 mile radios or something stupid like that
