Although when to comes to flying experiences I barely even enter the conversation with most of you guys here on this site, I think I can hold my own quite well when it comes to driving

I know the discussion here tends to revolve almost exclusively around flying, but I'm sure I can't be the only one here who's done some interesting drives...

So post your longest and/or craziest and/or most memorable drives here. (By crazy I don't mean dangerous, I'm not looking for something like "I once drove 100mph on a winding cliff road with no guardrail without wearing my seatbelt", I mean more like illogical)

I'll start off small:

My craziest  (to date, hopefully I'll shatter it this summer) is probably when I stopped off in Miami for Pizza on my way from Satellite Beach, FL to Jacksonville, FL. (back in 2001)

One of my more memorable drives  was when my gps took me to a random spot on an unnamed dirt road  in the middle of nowhere in a national forest where there was no cell reception for miles and my car was virtually out of gas...

For my longest I'll start with a few small things:
Longest single leg without stopping (i.e. without getting out of the car): roughly 5 1/2 hours (the most I was able to get out of one tank of gas). I'm actually kinda surprised at how few times I was able to pull that off, between stopping for gas where I know it's a lot cheaper and desperate bathroom breaks I've found it very rare to happen.
Longest stretch cruising at a steady speed, not touching the pedals or cruise control at all: The entire length of the Ohio turnpike from tollbooth to tollbooth (roughly 200 miles). I did it the night of Jan 1st this year. (I might've also done it the night of Dec 25th, but I wasn't paying attention until at least half way through...)

I would say for memorable and crazy, probably yes. For longest, probably not so much...

1. Milan to Venice in less than two hours in the snow.
2. NYC-PIT in ~5 hours, there was some construction along the way, driver was a DDF member, don't think he remembers this though...
3. Was in YYC for a wedding. Went to bed at midnight after the wedding, and woke up at 3am to drive to Banff to see the sunrise.
4. When I was a kid, my Dad and I were on our way back to NYC from Northern QC, we got lost (this was before the days of GPS and 9/11) and weren't sure if we were in CA or US, we ended up crossing the border into VT in middle of the night at some small border crossing, we honked and woke up the lone border patrolman, who was annoyed we woke him and acted extra suspicious.

Sounds like my kind of drive
But I'm afraid the math just doesn't add up... (unless you wanted to see the sunrise 2 days later)

Figured. It was memorable because we were exhausted when we went to sleep, more so when we woke up, and we were driving to this remote corner of the world. It was awesome!

I am not sure I understand the exact definition of what you are looking for here. Should I be posting like a road trip for most memorable, then It'd be 3,000 miles around Europe reference here http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=16188.0 . The last leg of the trip was from Florence to Warsaw with an hour break by lake Como total driving time of 21 hours covering 1,206miles. Did it only stopping to fill up gas about 4 times. I drove the Entire Germany into Poland for about 6 hours with 2 stops for gas cruising at around 95mph the whole way.

I don't know if I would say you "should" but you certainly could, it most definitely fits the bill. (Looks awesome, I'll have to read the whole report when I'm a little less tired)

I split it with the friend I went on the trip with. So about 11 hours each no stops except gas, and an hour in Como...

Two scariest drives were driving from Como to bellagio in Italy. Its one lane for two directions on the side of a cliff for a whole hour in each direction. But at least that was during light time hours.
In Scotland I drove for two hours in the pitch black up and down mountAins on a slightly wider road which was very windy, all on the wrong side of the road. On my way to the isle of Skye

about 5 years back i drove from lakewood to a wedding in toronto after which i drove to montreal picked up a passenger and then immediately drove back to lakewood dropped the passenger off and then drove to the mountains. i did all the driving myself, so if ya add it all up it's roughly 9hrs+6hrs+7hrs+3hrs= 25Hrs of driving in about a 30 hour stretch!

when i reached the mountains i slept for 17 consecutive hours!!!
