Making a ticket for a child not yet born

I am IY"h flying to my parents for Pesach with my soon to be born baby. I was planing on using Miles on United .How can I make  a ticket for the baby when I don't have a name to put on the ticket. I wanted to book the tickets soon since availability is low.

When the baby is born call united and add the baby. Or try to name it baby little bob and change it when baby is born.

Correct, domestic you don't need to add. International you do need to add before.

you do have to add him before the flight and pay but since the child isn't using a seat the price will always be the same, that's why IIRC you can just add him and pay at the airport unless there's a 24 hr policy which I'm not aware of.
