Either that or he was just assuming that since this thread is called NBA finals and not NHL finals, you must have been referring to the Sacramento Kings and not the LA Kings.

Exactly my point, thank you. There's no sarcasm font.

Hey, I have no horse in this race. Ppl go off topic all the time in forums, a jump from NBA to NHL is not a huge jump. It just takes some common sense, no need to get defensive.

I only sense one person getting defensive here. And anything to NHL is a huge jump.

Love it how all the LA people are jumping on the bandwagon.

Most of you thought Jonathan Quick was an actor till a month ago

Big cities and the NHL have a weird relationship. For the most part the NHL teams in cities that have a zillion professional sports teams are an afterthought. Sure, due to the sheer size of the population, there are still large numbers of die hards, but the city as a whole is usually not 100% on board with the hockey team all the time. But if the team makes a run to the Cup, look out! Anyone who remembers NYC in '94 knows what I'm talking about. The Rangers have a dedicated fan base, but it pales in comparison to the way the whole city really got behind them during their playoff run.

Such a great basketball series between BOS-MIA so far.  If you haven't been watching you've really missed out!

I won't deny being quite pleased by the outcome so far, but the games have been awesome to watch.

even your announcer has no clue. He claims Wayne came to LA in 98, great stuff

The BOS/MIA has been good to watch because the teams are evenly matched and that is about where it ends.

At least the teams are evenly matched.
As far as the 6th man effect, I can't believe anyone ever thought MIA could be an NBA mecca.  The AA Arena was quieter than the jet noise through my Bose QC15s.

There comes a time when you need to step up and take control of the game if you want to be considered the best. I don’t see any Jordon, Bird or Magic out there. Now OKC and Durant is another story.

I dont know what it's like now, but I used to follow basketball there were more Knicks fans than Heat fans in MIA...

true but there comes a time when they will be to old to keep competing with the same guys
i think the spurs will continue to be good but im nervous that my man Timmy will not be part of it for much longer and i wish he would get his 5th ring so we czn say he is the best player of the last 10-15 years definitively

you can't say anyone was the best definitively when it comes to sports. I could always argue Kobe, I could even argue LeBron, and say that I don't care about rings. :)
