How could you say that? Koby already has 5...
which is why i want duncan to get his 5th otherwise its very hard to argue that he is better
the only way to bring him in is to limit him to the power foward position which he is probably the G.O.A.T.

you can't say anyone was the best definitively when it comes to sports. I could always argue Kobe, I could even argue LeBron, and say that I don't care about rings. :)
no one would say that for the last 10-15 years that lebron was the best since he was not in the league that long

you didn't write that Duncan was the best player FOR the last 10-15, you wrote the best player OF the last 10-15 years,  which can definitely include someone who played for the last 9 years (and won 3 MVPs) King James :P There are many ppl who would put LeBron in his prime on their dream team before Duncan in his prime.

When it comes to basketball very few would argue who was the best to ever step on the court.

if lebron doesnt win this year then i would not have him on my dream team at all

my dream team
1. Magic Johnson
2. Michael Jordan
3. Bill Russell with Kareem coming off bench
4. Tim Duncan
5. Larry Bird

i think lots of ppl would argue who is best but it is easiest to break it down by position

Such a great basketball series between BOS-MIA so far.  If you haven't been watching you've really missed out!

How about such a dramatic series, the level of play has been disappointing. Horrendous officiating has been a major part of the problem (overall, not specifically for one team). For one, I have never seen so many moving screens called, especially in the playoffs (this has been a problem in the West as well). And no one is going to tell me that the level of play at the end of game 4 was raised when Lebron and Pierce both fouled out. It made it more dramatic, but it was damaging to the quality of play.

I don't think so. I'm with helpme here. Michael Jordan is top of the list 95% of the time.

yeah but you could easily argue that Bill Russell was the greatest since he won the most
or kareem since he has the most points or Oscar robertson since he averaged a triple double for a season
can go on
agree that MJ is the best but not everyone would agree

These lists are always slanted towards the present players. Out of the ones I actually seen play Wilt is probably the one most underrated. When it comes to the most dominant all around player I have to go with MJ hands down.

while I agree that Duncan may be the best power forward of all time, I can think of a few guys who weren't PFs who I'd play out of position instead of Duncan because they were so much better, Wilt Chamberlain comes to mind, (and Oscar Robertson and Kareem and maybe even Shaq who I think is a better player than Duncan, but I don't know about in the PF position).

obviously you can always have players play out of position but that is not what i was doing on my dream team
also i would not have wilt on my team there is something to be said that the most dominating player of his time could barely win a championship

It is very hard for me to believe that if you would be a coach, and you had a million bucks on the game, that you'd play Duncan b4 Wilt.

If he did he would be coaching his last game!  :)

It is very difficult to compare players from different eras. Strength is such a priority in todays game and it just wasn't in Wilt's days. There is a good chance that if Wilt the Stilt were playing against Duncan or Shaq he might just look like Big Z! I'm not saying that he isn't as good, I'm saying you have to compare him to the players of his day vs Duncan as compared to current competition.
