I have no idea why so many people are worried about the mint purchases being a Cash Advance. People would go ballistic. Imagine an "innocent" purchaser of a few boxes of coins getting smacked with interest charges without anyone telling him. The mint would never sanction such a thing. Why is there so much fear? At worst the CC companies would flag them as Cash Equivalent purchases and not award miles.
