Chase Debit Card Transactions

I made over five debit purchases for my wife's account for the CO promo and the miles didn't post. I checked the account and the transactions have a strange prefix of CA* like:

C A* TEAM LIFE NEW YORK 12/19C A* TEAM   $5.00
C A* CHAYIM VCHESED 0718 12/19C A* CHAY   $5.00 

Could this be the problem? Anyone know what CA * means?

Chase told me CA* means Cash Advance. What in the world is a Cash Advance when it comes to debit cards?!

no it means you used your card with out the pin so you will get miles
on pin purchases you don't

I think it depends on your account status. Regular acct I believe is $800, PC is more.

For the record, the sm response I just got was:

They said I should call the "Debit Card Fraud Prevention Team" which I did and after a bunch of clicking and typing and holding she came back and said she cannot raise the daily limit but I can go to a branch and request a "different type of card with a higher limit"  or withdraw directly from a teller in which case there is no limit at all.

I went to a branch and they raised the daily limit on the spot.

Daily limit on ATM withdrawals is $1000 or the average daily balance On the account, I have tried raising mine multiple times through the phone ,through my banker and the rule cannot be broken. Via tellerr you can usually withdraw all your money unless it’s held for check or a bill pay

I raised mine from $1000 but it's still below my average daily balance.

i don’t remember the exact wording of the rule, could be average of the past 30 days...there still is a limit though, I doubt they will let you withdraw huge amounts via ATM
