I just looked at my statement and I see a credit for my annual fee, I didnt get my annual fee yet and never called them about it.Any ideas?

if you don't want to keep the card just cancel it now and you gained some extra cash!

i was credited automatically the annual fee as well. I have a hunch its because i signed up for the prg with the columbia link which offered 2 years AF refunded

also were you charged the annual fee or just credited the annual fee and not charged?

I also signed up through that link and received the credit and the charge together.

I cancelled card and now it says "REMOVAL OF CREDIT BALANCE"

When they send you a check for the credit balance it says that on your statement, hopefully that's what happened.

Anyone have an update? I got the Credit but no charge. Can i request a refund of the credit and then cancel the card?

I got the refund no charge.
I think what happened is when I signed up I called up to get the points matched to 50K I think they noted my account to not charge the second year's fee.
I got the pts matched to 50k and a few weeks later I got an additional 40K. My thoughts are they got a lot of complaints about the bonus not being fulfilled so they added 40k across the board and set everyone up to be refunded the fee.
90k pts and $175 statement credit with 2 years free not a bad deal...
