Insurance

Hi!
I need a car for 2 month during the summer, and I am trying to figure out what my options are,
is leasing an option for 2 month, around how much would it be, or rent and how do i find the best price?

Regarding insurance:
I need liabilty coverage for this 2 month rental and I am not sure where to start.
My parents don't have a car so I am not under any insunrance, and paying $13 dollars a day for
insunrace from the company, sounds like allot, would it make sents for me to make regular car
insurance, would it come out cheaper, is is possible?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advanced!

What about getting a policy for 6 months and just cancel after 2 months?

Yes, it will make a difference.  You are young - and therefore considered irresponsible by the insurance companies.  Also, you don't have an established driving record and FWIU that could effect your rates.

A friend of mine was in the same position as you except that he was a bit older, so he in order to avoid the $13 a day LI insurance,  he bought a junk car for about $400 and then insured it at a cost of $100 a month.

He was then able to decline LI, and in essence had LI for $3.35 per day.

(He also had to register the car which costed about $45)

You might want to check out a "non-owner car insurance policy".
