if i close my amex card i loose the extended waranties that i get with amex? hwo abt if i downgrade the card?

if you close the card you made the purchase for, but still have other amex active, its fine. Downgrade is also fine.

Is it better to apply for bcp and have them move the cl to approve the bcp?

PRG is a charge card so there is no credit line to do anything with.
