The Bank of America serviced Visa and AMEX cards were pulled a week or so ago. The new product has been released.

It is now serviced by Elan.  Elan does the servicing for a wide variety of credit unions and smaller banks.

IIRC it works till June first then then they swap it for the new non Amex card.

Theres supposed to be 2 cards.

Ive never seen anything official since the announcement in spring 2015.

Even at that, I would speculate the cards will be similiar, if not identical, to the Morgan Stanley offerings.

That would suck. They're not gonna try to replace this fidelity crowd? MS cards are pretty useless.

AMEX didn't bank the Fidelity product, BofA did.  So why would AMEX try to replace it?

The MS Pt has a 50,000 MR bonus for $1K spend, all platinum benefits including the airline credits, and offers one free AU.

It was still an amex branded product. MS plat is nice to run through after regular plat 100k and MB 50k.

No, AMEX was the processing company.

The Benz Pt requires $3K spend for 50,000 MR's, and I don't believe it offers a free AU.  MS is $1K spend for 50,000 MR's, and definitely offers a free AU.  Unless you're in the market for a new Benz, the MS Pt seems like a better deal.

Wow I never knew about the MS plat.... why is it better than the MB 50k? its less spend and less af for the same 50k isnt it? Why leave it to last?

No reason. I don't use any of these for the benefits, there's another card for that. This is a 50k, 2x PGGM, GE and dump card, like the regular and MB plat.

Makes sense. I wish i had thrown it in before 2016. I feel like MB plat is much more popular than this card....not sure why

Yes, AFAIK they will check and decline if you don't have an active MS account.
