Looks pretty cr@ppy to me. Where they pull from probably varies by state.

I am having such trouble with a TD CC.

About a month ago my card had a security alert, I called in and after going through all of the security and public records questions I was told they can't remove the block and that I would need to go to a TD branch with 2 forms of ID.  I did that, and then they told me they can't remove the hold and they were reviewing my account and would get back to me when the review was complete.

Its almost a month already and my card is still blocked, nobody has called me back and every time I call in they tell me the card still needs to be reviewed.  Nobody seems to know why the card is blocked and there is no way to get in touch with the people blocking the card.

Do I have any rights?  Who can I call to get them to straighten this out?

Filed a BBB complaint against them. See if that does anything.

Anyone have any experience with CFPB? Is it worth it to file a complaint?

Yes. They were very helpful. They are an agency that was created for protecting the consumer from being bullied by the big banks.
You should definitely file a complaint with them.

They pretty much blocked any purchase at a grocery store over x dollar amount.

And yes, they will not/could not tell me how much i could spend in store.

Same here, I wonder if they unblocked my account. I brought in the 3 forms of ID last week.

I doubt it.  Why don't you check online?

I just signed on to my TD easy rewards account and it no longer says that my account has been blocked.  I wonder what will happen when I try to use it.  Anyone else have any success using the card at grocery stores once the hold has been removed?
