Air Canada Question
« on: May 21, 2012, 03:43:29 PM »
Air Canada charges 135k for business ewr-tlv
If one way is in coach they still charge 135k

If business opens up later on, do they just charge a change fee and no additional miles to switch to business?

Even the change fee shouldn't apply.

A little OT but I just booked 2 round trip from YYZ-LGA for $360 total for someone and it seems to me that when booking their tango fares ac will charge you $20/way to choose your seat unless you do it 24 hours in advance...can anybody confirm or deny this?

It is that way.
A TA should be able to do it without charge.

Yup they do charge. Was able to get around it by putting in a *G number.

Thinking of booking air Canada ticket from florida to Toronto on a paid ticket, and then going yyz-Tlv with miles. Will I be able to connect the two tickets to avoid baggage fees on the first leg? (Officially it has $25/bag, while Tlv gets one free).

I don't believe so.

Can't find any availability connecting in Europe?

so far this is the easiest- just one stop in yyz for a reasonable fare (actually it keeps going back and forth between 180 and 350 for some reason), and then direct to tlv. very hard to find any good awards seats leaving florida the day after pesach.
the only option so far is back to ny and then transaero to tlv... Aircanada on a dreamliner seems better to me

why didn't you first book and then decide? You can always cancel free within 24 hours

In business class there was 8 seats?
I thought they only open up one seat max per flight.

How does

AC 767-300 Biz class -FRA- YOW   -

 compare to

Untd first class 767-300 LHR-EWR

Any real difference? is UA worth the extra miles --flight time same 8 hours

UA seat will be larger and slightly more private.  You'll also get access to the new Global First lounge at LHR which for a US carrier seems to be getting good reviews.  AC 763 is a herringbone configuration.  If you are traveling with a companion or want to face forward and look out the window UA GF would be a better option.  I'd go with whatever is most conveient for you, neither are aspirational products I would go out of my way to fly.

final destination is MIA --
kind of what i thought neither "A "  sounds like "B-" TKS-- will wait a day or two and hope for LH or LX  to open - LX would be my first choice -- maybe I will get lucky :)

Air Canada flight booked on United.
Who collects the $100 extra bag fee?
And will a gift card work for it?

Anyone have any thoughts on the new dreamliner flight from YYZ-TLV in economy.
I have seen some reviews online that the seats are thin(lacking in cushion) and narrow (not very wide).
