Kevarim
Jewish cemetery near the Old Powazki. Established in 1809, it is one of the largest Jewish cemeteries in the world. Spread over an area of nearly 44,000 square feet (3160 square meters), the cemetery was left largely intact by the Nazis and includes the graves and tombs of a quarter of a million people, including the great Rabbanim of Warsaw as well as many secular giants in literature and the arts.

The Jewish Ghetto
The infamous Warsaw Ghetto, the scene of the only organized uprising.
On the left side of the Praga River, where the Ghetto used to be, you can visit several monuments commemorating the Jews of Warsaw, including the Monument over the Ghetto Heroes at Zamenhof Square, and Umschlagplatz, a memorial raised at the very spot where Warsaw Jews were gathered in 1943, loaded on cattle wagons and transported to the death camp at Treblinka. It is still possible to see how Jews lived in Warsaw ulica Prozna, a street left largely intact from before the Holocaust.

In my opinion (I haven't seen anything published to this effect), the point of an IDP is so that foreign car rentals/law enforcement can validate that your license is not suspended, as they don't have access to your home countries database. All AAA does is run your license and print a paper that confirms that it was valid as of said date. If it expired after several years it would defeat the purpose of an IDP...

AAA doesn’t run anything.
I walked into a branch and there filled it out right away.
No consent form was signed do they cannot run an MVR.
The purpose of the card is to translate into a foreign language.

Yes I agree that it’s a scam to make money.
Just went to pick up my Hertz car in Warsaw Airport and was told that I need an international license. Any workaround? My friend rented from Avis a few days ago and had no issue? Does it depend on rental company?
Not with hertz. You are warned about it when you make a booking in their site.
Try other rental counters and ask if they can rent to you with an IDP.

We were planning a one-way rental to Vienna and it was about $800 cheaper with Hertz using a corporate code than anyone else. We ended up doing a local rental and booking flights to Prague for Thursday night. It messed up some of plans but it was the best option.
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Does anyone know if Warsaw airport closes or if security leaves at a certain time at night? We are considering camping out at the airport for our early morning flight…

According to Godaven, no. But, it does not always have updated info. The contact info is there too.

I thought Ramah Shul was well worthwhile, also Lublin and Yeshivat chachmei lublin.
Also worth going to a death camp (as opposed to concentration) - Treblinka/Belzec/Sobibor.
And forest graves.
And sites in Lodz/Warsaw/Tykocin.
