just shopped at seasons
spent over $120
I looked over the receipt as I am heading out of the store. I see they only charged me for 1 bottle of soda instead of 2 bottles.
I told the manager when I was walking out of the store.
his comment was:
"go over there to that register and pay"

you would at least think he would say thank you? or maybe even in pomegranate they would say no problem, no need to ring you up again for 1 small item after a big purchase

we need a Brooklyn type of grocery store

there should be a thread just for lakewood grocery store.
i was just in gourmet glass. i bought honey mustand onion dip.
there was a sign that said honey mustard dip for sale for $1.99
there was no honey mustard dip in sight, only the honey mustard onion dip right by the the sign that said honey mustard dip for sale.

the store charged me $3.49
when i asked for the manager, i spoke to someone from customer service who told me i bought the wrong item that was on sale.
i told him how the sign was right by this item.
he said he didnt believe me, and he didnt check it out.
i went a took a picture and i asked for his boss...

he then started screaming at me and asked me if im trying to get him fired

only in lakewood....

why does lakewood have the worse customer service for grocery stores?
went to evergreen a few weeks ago and they over charged me for salad and yogurt.
i called up and they blamed me for not looking at their ad instead of only looking at their signs next to their items on the shelf's.
after about 20 min they said they would credit me the extra price that they charged me items and put it onto my phone number to be used next time.
i went back this week and they only credit me the amount for the extra charge for the salad, when i spoke to the manager he said that since he doesnt know how much to credit me back for the yogurt that he cant do anything.

first they over charge me
then they say its my fault
then they keep me on the phone for 20 min
then they dont credit me back the right amount.
then they say there is nothing they can do since its been a few weeks

this would never happen in pomegranate

I just went to seasons in Lakewood
bought macaroni and cheese ready made (just had to be put in the oven)
it was in the take out section.
I ate part of it and my stomach was killing. I called up seasons and they told me they made it a week ago.
they said they keep it for up to 8 days before they get rid of it.

I cant believe they keep melted cheese in a refrigerator for over a week?
I called and I spoke to a manager and the managers reaction was maybe I ate something else.

all and all I am shocked by this experience

Out of pure curiosity I took a look at google reviews for each of the stores you mentioned. Each store has hundreds of reviews, and interestingly enough Gourmet Glatt Lakewood (4.6) Seasons Lakewood (4.6) and Evergreen Lakewood (4.5) all have a better rating than Pomegranite (4.4). Must be you....

most Jews dont like to write negative google reviews since it leaves their name on the internet and everyone knows it was them. that being said, here is one review for seasons lakewood:

Somehow whenever I go to seasons in Lakewood there are one or two open lanes and a long line by both

 and the manager just sits there, you can either hire more cashiers or move yourself and help us checkout until the store emptys out I don't get it this has happened 5 times get more cashiers thank you

I just think it might be you. Never had the same experience by either GG or Seasons. Always very helpful, staff, management...
Definitely had that by NPGS, but you get what you pay for.

Ok I’ll take the bait. Here’s a review from Pomegranate:

“Has anybody ever tried to teturn anything or get a refund in this place?

Chief rabbi has a point. Customer service definitely is lacking at these stores. I think the worst part is the baggers. There can be a bagger sitting on his/her phone at a register that’s not even opened and refuse to go to a register that’s opened. I had this multiple times.

I know you are exaggerating to make a point.
However I've very rarely had a mistake.
If there was, they resolved it right away.
I've bought things that werent fresh (like cottage cheese, where you can't check before) and they took it back and switched it no questions asked-didnt even ask for receipt.
Maybe I don't look as suspicious as you, but I can only relate that I haven't had a bad experience there.

I once had that they forgot to scan an item, and they charged me a dollar for a $7 item, as well. I looked at my receipt and I walked back into the store to point it out. They thanked me very much. They called over the manager too, to fix the price of the $1 item.
