I would love a recommendation also.

This reminds me of an idea I had. I don't know any tailors in Lakewood. I'm sure there are plenty, but they have zero exposure. I only knew of Tony, but he has since moved more than once, and I was never a huge fan of him. So here's my idea:

Someone should make a prominent storefront for tailors, like a tailor mall, similar to what Mr. Clipper is for barbers. There will anywhere between 4 and 12 (maybe even more) booths or counters, which each tailor paying rent to the establishment. The "mall" will advertise, and it will be big enough that everyone will know that it is a destination for tailoring. Each tailor can have their own pricing and policies, and customers can approach whichever tailor they know or trust.

Imagine the scene - three days before Yom Tov, you run in and ask if anyone is still taking orders. "Yes, I think Rivkie in the back corner is still taking."

I think that many people just don't do their tailoring, or do it through their cleaners, because they don't know of a tailor. This can potentially bring a lot more business to local tailors, justifying the extra costs involved.

If I never heard of it, they must have not done a good job. And it should be a full-year endeavor.

I think the challenge would be A lot of tailors are at home and enjoy working there own hours. To commit to a full day being at your booth would be impractical to most “at home tailors”

Where’s the best place to replace an iPhone screen

This question has been asked a number of times on this thread.

Mattis Gisis 7325230033
Does anyone know someone that can repair an iphone screen besides verizon by GG and Irepair in westgate? Both couldn't do it today/tonight
You can also try https://www.batteriesplus.com/ in Brick
You can try this place - next to Howell post office.

https://www.cellphonerepair.com/howell-nj/

I know it's not your question, but I found it quiet easy to change iPhone screens myself. Never tried the newer models, but successfully did 5s and 6s a number of times. You can buy the replacement screens on Amazon for between $20-$35 (most professional services charge about $100 IIRC). Some of the replacement screens come with just the screen, and some come with a new front camera, speaker, and proximity sensor - which makes the replacement much simpler. There are videos online that walk you through it, and it shouldn't take you more than $15 minutes the first time. (I can do it now in about 4-5 minutes...)
Not something you should be doing unless you don't care to mess up your phone especially on newer phones. It can get very tricky.

Seems like at least one of the barber shops has gone up to $18 a haircut. What are the going rates for the house guys? Are they significantly less?

Yes. That’s pretty steep for a men’s haircut that takes 10- 15 minutes or less. I guess the shops have overhead, but I figure the private house barbers should be pulling in upwards of $60-$80 an hour off the books when things are busy even at $15 a pop. Wondering what they are charging these days.
