I was also highly recommended Rav Roth, but if you contact him directly, he can only help if the other party agrees to arbitration which in my case the other party refused. I ended up using Beis Din Maysharim. The hazmana and beis din process goes very fast, just they take a few months to give the results of the psak.

The medical consensus seems to be 10-14 day recovery is normal.

I came down with this last night. Fever and terrible stomach bug. And maybe worst of all, I don't have 2 weeks now to sit and recover...

Any ideas how to expedite the recovery, or to at least make it manageable so I can be productive?

Wow! I had this a while back but for only a few days, it’s terrible and makes covid feel(at least for me) like a vacation… RS!

Here's my issue. So it seems it's GI. But GI could be viral, bacterial, or parasitic, and each one has a different way of dealing with it it seems.

Bacterial - taking antibiotics
Parasitic - going on a parasite killing diet with no grains or sugar, plus a lot of other specialty food items.

In order of quickness and bestness:
1. Visit your doctor
2. Call your doctor, they've had other patients with this, and may answer without a visit
3. Call parents, shulmates, others from whom you may have caught it.  They may have visited their doctor and if you've all had the same thing, the advice they got may apply to you too
4. Assume it's viral, which is more common than the other two, and follow the directions you found for that.

From general life experience, I am not a doctor:
If the fever has gone down and the main symptom you have is diarrhea, then Pepto Bismol can help, but read all the cautions. I prefer the liquid but it comes in other forms.
Rice is good - bland like toast, but binds up better.  Add salt, because you lose salt when you lose fluids.
Keep hydrated.  Drink water, sports drinks if you like them help replace salts if you're not eating.  Liquid soup is very good - veggie broth, chicken soup, without the vegetables.  Make chicken soup with chicken (not just bones).
Introduce other foods slowly, to make sure they don't make you worse.  Bananas.  Boiled chicken from the soup.  Boiled or scrambled eggs.
Get plenty of sleep.  Sleep slows down the digestive system, and also speeds healing in general.
