Unfortunately not true. The most they'll do is put me on a cancellation list.

Call right when they open.
Called 8 am they said if i come now they’ll remove.
Had to go back a few weeks later for other 3.
First day they weren’t helpful but after explaining it was very painful they said call early tomorrow and it worked.

Once you speak to him himself he can't say no to someone in pain.

No idea, but perhaps ask a camp? They may have a scholarship or some type of discount for various situations. Or if they don't they may be able to direct you to an organization/fund/government grant that does.

Seems impossible to get seen quickly anywhere nearby. I just booked an appt at someone in Brooklyn who will see me Thursday.
