What can be done about the post office's policy of skipping mail delivery for mailboxes that are blocked by parked cars?
Now that Lakewood has developed into a city, there are entire neighborhoods that have have their mailboxes blocked at any given time.
I know people who don't get their mail on a regular basis & this has caused some serious issues.

Many towns have ordinances prohibiting blocking mailboxes. You can lobby the township to adopt one. In the meantime, if you have 2 cars to spare here is a potential solution:

As far as I can tell it’s not in the township municipal code.
Perhaps orange safety cones will do the trick?

It's not a chutzpah to park in a legal spot. The chutzpa is that the neighborhood was designed with nowhere to park

Mailman doesn't deliver mail every other day due to cars either parked in front of mailbox or even parked within 3 feet of mailbox!
This is no longer a town - it's a city!
Mailboxes will often be blocked and there is no way to stop it.
Mailman writes on envelopes that there is no access, and they get returned to sender.
This has caused serious financial loss & inconvenience.
Who can be spoken to to help?
(The PO doesn't pick up their phone.)

Sure, but they can't really be blamed much.
The problem is that in a lot of neighborhoods there simply isn't enough parking on the streets without blocking mailboxes.
The real solution would be for the PO to change their policy and deliver mail even to blocked mailboxes - just like in every big city.
Lakewood has now evolved into a city and policies should change accordingly.

My mailman in Lakewood has no problem getting out of the van and putting mail into the box if it is blocked.
