what are my best options(least expensive) for installing internet service for laptop use in the home for online courses, online hw assignment etc..

I looked into a portable hotspot but apparently Verizon does not provide coverage in my area and ATT said it can only be purchased as an add on

I had 10 kids knocking on my door at the same time, I thought they lost their way to school, or maybe they were trying to give their rebbe Mishloach Manos and confused the address.

I asked them which organization they are collecting for, some had pushkas from their school, ok fine, there was a kid with a Ziplock bag,
Me: I asked him who is it for,
Kid: tells me for the project,
Me: which project?
kid: from the booklet,
Me which booklet,
Kid: prizes,
Me: for which organization?
kid: I don't know.

I have been advised now that hotspots wont work well for certain uses such as online courses and online exams with proctors. The coverage/connectivity is not strong enough etc...

So it appears wifi installation in the home is the way to go.

they had a 15 dollar plan ( need to be eligible)with a little slower connection. still more then enough if you don’t need to live stream video games at 120 fps .

Perhaps you have a neighbor that can give you access to their Wi-Fi, you can offer to pay them a little... (Provided you have a neighbor that has Wi-Fi, and depending how far apart your houses are)

There's an Org. that advertises that they will beat any price, meaning they want LESS MONEY to go to Tzdakah.

Please don't speak lashon hara on large groups of people like that...

That said, in our family our sons collect for a cause we approve (usually their yeshiva, sometimes a cause we know personally) and we personally give them 10% of the collected amount to get a prize

If I remember correctly, I saw in the booklet that the prizes are all sponsored, making it that 100% of your donation goes to Tzedakah.
