I can't talk for others but can talk for myself.

I have no firsthand knowledge of banks. But growing up with a Chase bank in my neighborhood, I always saw Chase as 'the bank'. I don't know where I got the perception from, but I see Wells Fargo as a business bank. I am not a business owner, so I naturally turned to Chase when I opened my account.

And I like blue better than yellow.

How can anyone beat the options of accounts at Chase, least fees, most branches everywhere you go, excellent app interface, great cc options , and any branch out of Cedar bridge or GG plaza have exceptional fast service, etc....

The Arcadia bill pay service has nothing to do with your community solar enrollment on a regulatory level. You can be enrolled with Arcadia without it (like I am) or can technically use it without being enrolled with them. They use it for their own convenience to help ensure community solar bills are paid.

I had an account with their predecessors from when I was a kid at The Savings Bank of Rockland which became First Fideltiy to First Union to Wachovia to Wells Fargo (I think a missed some in the middle). I used Wells Fargo and tolerated the poor service since the changeover from Wachovia until I dealt with an estate account with Chase and saw the difference in service. Once COVID hit, Wells Fargo branches basically ceased to exist. I've moved all of my banking to Chase and am very satisfied.
