In Lakewood, 38,813 votes were cast for the presidential election. 34,173 voted for Trump, 4,640 voted for Harris.

Someone just forwarded me a CBN ad for a mega kiddush meat board (with the usual token disclaimer to live within your means etc etc). From the forwards that come my way I always had the sense he was trying to differentiate himself by fostering awareness of grocery price disparities and not being part of the over the top culture in Lakewood that the other outlets and Jewish ad blasts are promoting, but I guess not. If one is going to indulge in hundreds or thousands of dollars of meat boards for a kiddush then all the $20 haircuts and shopping at ALDIs isn’t going to get you anywhere.

I know ad money talks but from some of the forwards I was getting I had higher hopes. If the consumer focused on eliminating the over the top culture it would go a lot further than saving $2 lb. on salmon by shlepping to ALDIs so you aren’t ripped off 6 bucks in the Jewish store.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Yudi Mandel from Ocean Auto Glass- he has been recommended above on this thread many times for Auto glass repair. I had a crack in my windshield, reached out to him and all he needed was my VIN and copy of insurance via text. He did the legwork, figured out the coverage and that I only had a $50 deductible, and handled all the details. picked up my car and brought it back done perfectly.
Truly one of the best experiences I had with a service provider in man years.
