The cheapest place to buy the carpet is probably Ollies in Toms river. They have rolls of carpet remnants. Most are between 56-78 cents per sq ft.

You would have to get your own installer, but that's a separate charge in the local stores as well.

sounds like a headache doing it this way.  You used them? who was your installer?

You asked for cheap, so I suggested cheap. The carpet is less than 1/4 of the price than it would be for the equivalent elsewhere. It comes at the cost of having to do your own research for an installer rather than just paying for the carpet store's installer.

I did this for steps. I was doing other work in the house and the installer was a subcontractor, so I don't have his contact info.
Find an installer who will pick up the carpet for you from the store so that you don't have to do the shlepping.

I would not bother with the bus. Try to get a deal on a car rental. Make sure you have an EZ Pass as well.

Did anyone ever buy a car on CoPart.com if yes what was your experience.

Many times.
It's VERY risky, especially if you don't have experience in the car repair industry. It's often only worth it if you will do most of the repair by yourself. You need to have experience in evaluating damages and assessing the worst case scenario extent of the damages from the photos in order for the risk to be worth it.

Before bidding, make sure to calculate what the repair costs would be if the damages from the photos are deeper than they appear. Make sure you'd still break even with the resale value of the car even if you'll need to replace the engine or transmission. (I once got a 5 year old car with a transmission that was on its way out, unrelated to the accident. It was related to a poor repair on a previous unreported accident with that car. There was damage to a transmission cooling line, but the line was patched instead of replaced.) Make sure to include all the fees and shipping costs in your calculations.

Every vehicle at a salvage auction is there for a reason. Otherwise it would be at one of the regular dealer auctions where it would sell for much more. If it isn't obvious from the photos why a certain vehicle was salvaged (even if it isn't branded salvage), stay far away. It almost certainly has serious issues you don't see, or it was repaired without any paperwork, which would make it impossible to pass salvage inspection. Look for a car with obvious, but reparable damages.

You need to have a dealer license in most states, or pay a broker to use theirs.

Salvage vehicles must go through a separate salvage inspection which is another hassle and will cost another few hundred. First you need to go get a salvage title in your name, fill out a form, prepay for the inspection with a money order, and then schedule an inspection with a salvage inspection facility. If you don't have a dealer plate registered to the business that owns the car, you need to get a temporary transit permit from the DMV within a few days before the inspection in order to drive the vehicle to the inspection site.
You need to bring printed before and after photos, a detailed repair work order from a licensed repair shop (if you do the work yourself, it needs to be notarized), and receipts for all major parts you replace. If you bought used salvage parts, the receipts need to include the VIN number of the vehicle the part originated from. The receipts need to have your name and address as well.

Do not attempt to circumvent any of their many rules. They will fail you. The people at these inspection sites are tough and usually moody.

Hope this helps.

Interstringly enough, a friend of mine told me he carpet cleaned his Talis, and said it came out great. (And free!)
