(Moshe?) Levy

Not sure how much cheaper he is than other mechanics, but he comes to you, which is pretty convenient.

Buying pads yourself and then going to a mechanic wont save you any money.
They mark up the pads. Its part of how they make money.
They will probably either up the labor charge, or tell you they wont use the pads you bought.
For an easy job like brakes if you bring in your own and offer a decent price many mechanics will take you up on the offer because they don't have much to lose because it's a quick buck for them
just find out before wasting your money and buying them
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

In established businesses they don't usually do that, being that it would create the word that people can save that way... and their margins would be much lower..

Better mechanic?

You don't seem to know much about replacing brakes/rotors.

It doesn't require going to ventus and getting ripped off. As a matter of fact, it doesn't require any mechanic. Its a very basic ordeal for anyone thats a little handy.

Just watch a few youtube videos.

The reason it may not be worth it to do it yourself even if you are handy is A) There are a few tools required that you probably dint own B) It takes time
+.5 many cheap mechanics don't bleed the lines which is recommended to avoid debris build up in the lines. It takes an extra 5 min., is a little messier, and requires extra brake fluid.
ETA: I would recommend that anyone doing work that requires lifting the car should invest in a rapid pump racing jack. I was cheap and just got the standard hydraulic jack and it takes forever.

People don't like holding on to goods for so long, hence they'll get rid of stuff for cheap.

be careful to buy good quality. I bought one year from guy selling mats cheap by kol shimshon. by the time Yom Tov ended they were going moldy. I called the number from the ad, but they never answered or responded to my messages. so I bought new ones in Westgate succos store that people have said they were happy with.

Really all schach gets moldy but the closet it is to regular bamboo the less likely it is. Two or three years ago was a very wet Succos. It was misty almost the whole time. That year many types which didn't normally have problems got moldy. In general cbc is right about that type being from a different type of reed which absorbs more water.
Cleaning mold off isn't so difficult just make a bleach solution and go over with a brush.
