Even if your driving, sometimes you just want to run in to a small convenience store,like saver pointed out.
And there are many people shopping in aisle 9 that either walked there or already drove to beis aron/beis shalom.

Gg is incredibly different. The same whay it took aisle nine forever to open gg will take forever. They are nice stores with alot of attention to detail, and take time to make

Quick chek is a chain, they probably have established procedures, much easier for them to quickly open a location

building a 5,000 SF box ground up does not equal turning a 76,000 box into a 18,000 grocery.

And FTR the QuickCheck deal was signed 3 years ago, and they waited until the parcel was under development so that the site work would be cheaper. So it actually took QuickCheck 3 yrs to open

Yes I read that it will be open 24 hours. And cvs on Route 9 will not be 24 hours anymore

Regarding Yiddies, I think that it's main issue was that it didn't have outstanding food. When someone goes to a place and get's blown away by the food, he'll advertise by word of mouth, and the place will get by even without major print advertising. But during my few experiences in Yiddies, I walked out underwheled. (The first time I went, the server (don't worry, it was not Grodnaking) asked me how I wanted my skirt steak cooked, and he recommended Well Done, because "most people take it well done". Any guy with even a little experience knows that skirt steak cooked past medium will be hard and chewy.) So because of the not so great food, the only attraction was the location. Enter Aisle 9, and it just can't keep afloat. (The opinions expressed therein are soley those of the writer and may not reflect those of the wider consumer.)
