I just went to seasons in Lakewood
bought macaroni and cheese ready made (just had to be put in the oven)
it was in the take out section.
I ate part of it and my stomach was killing. I called up seasons and they told me they made it a week ago.
they said they keep it for up to 8 days before they get rid of it.

I cant believe they keep melted cheese in a refrigerator for over a week?
I called and I spoke to a manager and the managers reaction was maybe I ate something else.

all and all I am shocked by this experience

while I agree they treated u terribly, I don't think cheese in a refrigerator for a week is so crazy....

do you ever have a 108 pack of american cheese in your fridge for over a month? i would assume yes.
now would you have melted cheese that is on your macaroni in your fridge at home for over a month? i would assume no.

Correct. Once it's heated it's not the same. I'd be concerned about week old macaroni too!

how should i proceed. i called up seasons. they said they will give me credit for the next time for $7.99 (cost of the item).
i felt sick after i had that. do you think thats fair what they are doing?
then they say maybe it is because i had something else??

Where in the store do they sell that? There is no dairy counter....Also, I'm not sure what else you want from them. A candy? It would be one thing if you had medical bills due to the illness etc. Compensation for time spent in the bathroom? What exactly do you want?

The one thing you can continue to challenge them on is how long they keep it before throwing it out...

They had a special dairy section for during the 9 days.
They had dairy dishes. The manager told me they keep the items for up to 8 days.

Like I said. What do you think is fair???
They didn't even seem sympthetic

I think just from a customer service perspective apologizing, sounding embarrassed, taking responsibility and then saying we'll refund you the charge would have come across a lot differently. Am I right, rabbi?

The issue is less the difference between melted or not than the way it is packed. American cheese was melted either way as part of the process. The only issue is if it got moldy.
