Went to bistro with DW. We had short rib spring rolls and corned beef gnocchi for starters then skirt steak and teriyaki chicken for mains. The food was delicious. Came out to $107 all in.

If you are looking for something like Mike's bistro this ain't it and it is not trying to be that. They have good food and good service.

The ambience could really be fixed up so easily. The room is a nice one with nice decor. With a little written it would be great. The ceiling as it is now is higher along the outer walls but in the higher area you can see the roof joists painted black. They should put in drywall there to hide the stuff up there. The serving station is mismatched and was brought in from the other side. It only needs to be repainted but it should be done. The most important change they need to make is to not have an open door right into the serving counter of yapchik. It really loses a lot when you hear the guy behind the counter yelling "one spicy fries to go!" They should have the sure going straight into the kitchen instead.

They can also use better steak knives. The one I had was not cutting the skirt steak but ripping it. Real dishes instead of melamine would add a lot too.

That said I think it fills a missing level for restaurants in Lakewood with delicious food. We left happy.
